The IBEW Local 520 signatory contractor working on the Tesla Truck Plant Project is now offering $500 in weekly incentive pay for licensed electricians who are a CE level 4 or above. Additionally, CE level 3 licensed electricians and below are being offered a $250 weekly incentive.

Work opportunities are still available on the Tesla Truck Plant project, but the work doesn’t stop there. IBEW Local 520 signatory contractors forecast an abundance of work throughout Central Texas for a number of years.

Although many of our members enjoy being able to stay with one contractor, they can work for another if they have a need. The sense of job security through consistent work keeps the Local 520 members focused on completing projects.

We have members working both day shifts and night shifts on the Tesla Truck Plant Project, earning overtime every week. Some members are taking advantage of additional OT.

The contractors signatory to IBEW Local 520 know they are getting skilled tradesmen or tradeswomen from Local 520. Although members typically stay with one contractor, they can go and work for another if they have a need.

Our contractors need more experienced, licensed electricians for this job. With at least 60 hours/week and potential for more overtime, consistent work at this location is expected for at least a year.

There are currently two working shifts; day and night, due to the demand for completion. Journeyman working dayshift receive $2,045/week, after dues, while nightshift receives $2,250/week.
